Hi, My name is Adria and I have been cloth diapering for years now and have developed an odd passion about it. I enjoy learning and researching cloth diaper solutions and sewing and customizing my own for my children. I decided to write The Complete Cloth Diaper Book after hearing the questions I and many other had while trying to decide whether or not to use cloth diapers and what kind to use. There are so many styles now; prefolds, fitteds, all-in-ones and pocket diapers just to name a few. Then there are cloth diaper liners, soakers and doublers as well as cloth diaper wraps and covers. Why would someone want to cloth diaper in the first place?
I discuss several benefits to using cloth diapers and how it is now easier and more convenient than ever. Cloth diapers are made with natural fabrics which has both environmental benefits, but also is better for the baby than the plastics and chemicals found in disposables. In addition, cloth diapers cost MUCH less than disposables when you sit down and do the math. These are just some of the many great reasons to learn more about cloth diapers!
My mom used cloth diapers and hated all the folding and washing, is there an easier way?
Yes! This is the best thing about cloth diapering today. It has changed greatly in the past 20 years with many more options and greater convenience. Beginning to research the cloth diapering options available and make that first investment in a set of diapers can be a daunting task with so many choices. There are many fabrics, styles and accessories to choose from in deciding what will work best for your family, lifestyle and likes/dislikes. I spend a great deal of time in my book discussing all of this by going over all the options available for fabrics, styles and accessories.
